That article seems a bit hostile to idea of a transsexual appointee but I chose to reference it because it has a lot of background information about Amanda Simpson.

The point I wish to make by posting this information is to show that transsexual acceptance is steadily growing in our society. They can be in high positions like Amanda Simpson or just the "girl next door".
